Choosing the right doctor while navigating reproductive health is one of the most important decisions during a couple’s family-building journey. While both a fertility specialist and a gynaecologist treat gynaecological conditions, irregular periods, and basic reproductive concerns, couples trying to conceive must recognise when to consult each practitioner. Who is a Gynaecologist? A gynaecologist or obstetrician specialises in women's health across all life stages. They focus on managing menstrual disorders, fibroids, polycystic ovaries, and uterine health. Couples frequently visit a gynaecologist when they begin family planning or notice early symptoms while trying to conceive.  A gynaecologist can conduct basic diagnostic tests and identify common symptoms.
